Henry Recruitment recruits Estimators of all levels and across a wide range of sectors relating to the construction and civil engineering industry all of which will include Estimating for Building Services packages (Mechanical & Electrical). Estimators will prepare tender submissions and priced schedules for framework and partnering agreements utilising PPC 2000 and from a Bill of Quantities utilising industry standard rates such as NSR, NHF, JIB, HVCA Schedule of Rates and Standard Method of Measurement, currently SMM7.

A number of specialist software packages exist such as COINS, CANDY and Excel. Estimators will be IT-literate and competent in the use of any one of these packages. They will work autonomously or within a team, usually under the guidance of a Chief Estimator, formulating submissions for major multi-million pound complex construction and building schemes involving numerous subcontract packages. Minimum ONC qualified, an Estimator will typically rise to Senior/Chief Estimator through experience and promotion at which point they may have obtained Chartership.
